Hello everybody and welcome back! It’s Friday which means it is time for another Bookish Friday. It has been a while since I have done a book tag and I saw My Life In Books flying around so I thought I would dive in. As it is coming up to one year anniversary on It’s A Reader’s Life I thought it was fitting to do a more of a get to know me tag. Let’s get started….
Find a book for each of your initials
Count your age along your bookshelf. What is it?
I’m 18 and the 18th book along my shelf is The Twilight Saga: New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. I am a hardcore Twilight fan, please don’t judge me.
Pick A Book Set In Your Country/City
Raven’s Gate is the first book in The Power of Five series by Anthony Horowitz. I actually read this book in my English class when I was in year eight. I’m from a small town called Ipswich which is in Suffolk (the same county as Ed Sheeran, cool right?) and this book is set in Ipswich for all of one chapter.
A Book That Represents A Destination You’d Love To Travel To
It is my dream to do a road trip across America and that is exactly what the characters do in James Patterson’s First Love. I read this book a few years ago and it is so heartbreakingly beautiful. I really want to give it a reread soon.
A Book That Is Your Favourite Colour
I love purples and pinks so this novel sums up my taste in colours perfectly.
A Book That You Have The Fondest Memories Of
Jacqueline Wilson was the first author I fell in love with and Kiss was my favourite novel of hers. I have fond memories of this book because it was my first introduction to sexuality, periods and growing up. It was a real eye opener for ten year old me.
A Book That You Had The Most Difficulty Reading
I am terrible at reading books from the ‘classic’ genre purely because I find the language really difficult to understand. I persevered with Wuthering Heights because it is such a popular book and I eventually finished it.
A Book On Your TBR That Will Give You The Biggest Accomplishment When You Finish
This book has been on my TBR for the longest, around three of four years, so when I will be so happy when I finally pick it off my shelf and read it.
That’s it for today. I nominate anybody who wants to take part in this tag to do it and let me know in the comments what you would have answered for some of the questions.
